Welcome!
Welcome to Tech Minded, and congratulations on becoming an Agent!
We are very happy to you join our network. We know all of this sounds confusing in the beginning, but it gets easier as you do it more. We are here to help in any way we can. Just reach out to us, and we’re happy to talk.
Here is some information and reference tools to help you get started.
Your Primary Access Point
The primary way for you to get started is through the Tech Minded web site. The site is set up so that you are guided through the details that we need to help you get the right quotes for your client. Even if you don’t have full information, it’s the best place to start. This is also one of the best ways that we can make sure to tie a client and their commissions to you.
First, log into the site at https://techminded.com/login — this is critically important as the links will then be encoded tying to your account.
Then proceed to:
It’s on this page, once you are logged in, that your links will have your agent information pre-built for you into the URL.
Many Forms are Confidential
Many Forms are ConfidentialMany of the Forms on the site are confidential and for your eyes only. Often, we are not allowed to have pricing visible to the public. Typically, this is because pricing is better than the public pricing, along with other reasons. Because of this, many of the links on the portal are intended for the use of agents and Tech Minded staff only (e.g., confidential). You’ll see these delineated on your portal page.
Some Links Can Be Public
While some of the links are confidential, others can be used publicly for customers to see information or even order directly and when you are logged in, your links will have your agent information pre-built for you into the URL.
Like the confidential links, you’ll see these indicated on the Portal page. If you are sending a link out publicly, make sure to copy your link from the Portal page so that any sales from it are attributed to you, and you are paid the commission. Let us know if you have questions on this.
Where do I start?
This is a super customized business – and it’s driven by the needs of the client, and what you understand about them. We are happy to help. You may want to start by choosing a business or two – whether a client, or just a business that you know personally and then, hop on a call with us to discuss what might work for them. After you’ve done a little bit of this, you’ll get the hang of it on your own but before you get to that point, we are happy to help in any way we can.
Different Levels of Interactions
There are so many types of clients and technologies available, that there may be times that you have a client or a type of job that would require more time or ability than you have and you may want to just hand a client off and not be involved. We can still take care of them, and you can benefit. In your agent agreement are four levels of interaction, each with their own commission share: Referral sale, Cooperative sale, Agent with Tech Minded Quoting Support, and Direct sale by Agent. But don’t worry about this as much when you first start – identify a couple of businesses, and then let’s talk.
What products and services are available?
This is the tougher question … simply because there are so many. Let’s go over a few things, at a very high level, to give you a flavor, not in any specific order:
Software
Microsoft anything: it doesn’t matter the type of org, if they are already using Microsoft, or need a new Microsoft product, it is likely that we can take care of them and save them money. All size orgs can be handled. Best deals for 25 seats or more.
Remote Worker Productivity Management: Does your client need to manage their remote workers? Ask us how this works.
Cloud Faxing: Does your client have a physical fax machine in the office? In addition to the difficulty today to get faxes while remote, paying for unnecessary phones lines too! We can reduce their costs, get them a good deal and take them to the cloud with eFax.
G Suite: Get Google’s G Suite for productivity software in a variety of flavors.
Backup: Cloud services including hosted email is not backed up – it’s synced. If users do something bad, that problem will sync to the cloud. Backups are critical. And now with remote workers, they are more important than ever.
Digital Signatures: Whether you need basics of electronic signing or full on digital signatures, we have options.
Telecommuting Technologies: There are a ton of options to help in this “new world order” – talk to us, and we’ll help you figure out the right one for your client.
Cloud Storage and Services: Did you know that IBM’s storage is less expensive than AWS? Or that you can get containers and compute cycles with more capabilities?
Connectivity and Communication
Phones / VoIP / Unified Communications: No matter the flavor, this is about voice communication, and the features that have extended from it. If someone has not quoted their phones in 3 years or more, there’s likely savings there. If you aren’t familiar with what UCaaS can do, let’s chat and go over some of the key features.
Collaboration, Video Meetings, Conference Calls: All of these have shot up in people’s understanding and need with the necessity of work from home. And many of these features are already included in Unified Communication packages.
Internet Connectivity: No matter what you need, we likely have a solution. From small business, to backup solutions, to mobile and even cloud optimized connections.
Backup Connectivity: Need an LTE backup or failover? We can make that happen.
E911: If you have a company with multiple locations, work from home employees, and they are using a multi-line phone system — they may not be compliant with the new E911 laws that are already in place, or will be by the end of this year.
SD-WAN, MPLS, and more: Make sure that your critical connections are both performant and reliable … especially with remote workers depending on them.
SMS and Group Messaging: Need to communicate en masse, and quickly? There are options.
